ArtsMinded has been delivering The Moving Space Project since 2019.  It offers creative mental health support to refugee women living in temporary accommodation. Through engagement via movement and art making the weekly group offers opportunities for the exploration of personal experience, self-care and connection with others.  This project has been funded by National Lottery.

The Walking Art Trail is a creative well-being project that ArtsMInded has offered to the local refugee and asylum-seeking community living in temporary accommodation. The Project has enabled people with a wide range of mobility needs to visit local green spaces and other resources such as galleries and museums. The sessions are designed to nurture confidence and orientation in the local area whilst bringing a focus to wellbeing through walking, explorative art making and movement. Enhancing connectivity in the wider landscape has left a legacy whereby individuals and families are empowered to revisit spaces and gain confidence in local resources. The Walking Art Trail has been funded by TFL Walking and Cycling Grant.

ArtsMinded has developed and delivered the Rainbow Group, providing creative play for disabled children, young people and their families through art, play and movement games. The group offers specialist support to those navigating the Asylum System, living in temporary accommodation whilst awaiting Home Office decisions on their Refugee Status. Whilst working in our local community to support Refugees, we became aware that disabled children and their families remained marginalised and often excluded. As we sought to expand our services, the Rainbow Group became a new initiative offering a regular support group for disabled children and their families living in hostel accommodation.
